JOE'S PHOTOS & STORIES
This is a shot taken at the Quaker City classic indoor short track race circa 1971 or maybe 72. We did this race on the concrete floor of the Spectrum (under the ice). This is the race where Gary Nixon and Bart Markel got into it and Gary got his right hand hurt " badly I might add". Gary still has a scar from that deal. The shot is of me riding a Benelli in a show we did at half time. The background was dropped and it was superimposed on another to simulate flying over Cosmo. The ad was in Cycle.
Pictured at right: Guiseppe "The Collector" Chapparone Cosmopolitan Motors official bill collector.
Alias: Joey Two Bolts Purshock circa 1957.
This is the actual newspaper article of the photo at left above.
Pictured at right: This is one of the earliest known photos of the now famous Joe Purshock (I get a bonus for each usage of the word "famous" near Joe's name....). Showing his Mommy his first car, Circa 1956.
