The Cosmo Motors LLC story begins back in Europe in 1922 when Larry's grandfather began distributing the Jawa CZ. The legacy continued in New York in 1949 when Ernie, Larry's father, became US importer for the Jawa CZ and later the Zundapp. Larry joined the firm in 1952.
In 1957, the Wise's split from their partner, Berliner, and moved the company to Philadelphia to open a floodgate between the Italian and US markets. They were the first to import Italian bikes to America en masse. The company brought in Parilla, Capriolo, MV Agusta, Bimota, Benelli, Bianchi, Montesa, Garelli, and Beta motorcycles and imported Pirelli tires, Delorto carburetors, Regina chains, AGV helmets, and more.
